FIVE FACTS ABOUT VITÓRIA DE SETÚBAL
1. Vitória formed as a breakaway from the Bonfim Club of Setúbal in 1910, but took on the green and white jerseys of another side from the same town, Setubalense SC.
2. One of the most decorated clubs in Portuguese football history, they have claimed one Taça da Liga and three Taças de Portugal.
3. They were regulars on the European stage in the late 1960s and early 1970s, reaching two UEFA Cup quarter-finals, defeating the likes of Inter Milan and Leeds United on their way.
4. The club mascot is a dolphin called “Sadinho” of the type regularly seen in the local River Sado.
5. They suffered heartbreak in 2020 when they survived relegation through a final day home win only to be sent down two tiers a few days later alongside Desportivo Aves due to financial difficulties.

FIVE FACTS ABOUT SETÚBAL
1. Beginning life as the Celtic village of Cetóbriga, Setúbal has also been known as Saint Ubes in English, Saint-Yves in French and Shatübar in Arabic.
2. Located just outside Lisbon, it became the home of the Portuguese upper classes in the 15th century when it began building ships, before later turning to canning sardines in the 19th.
3. Situated on both the dolphin-inhabiting River Sado and the Atlantic Ocean, it is, unsurprisingly, well-known for its seafood and fish dishes.
4. The Serra da Arrábida is well worth a visit for its beautiful nature and protected beaches.
5. Setúbal has a tradition of producing great poets, artists, musicians and actors, but it is football icon José Mourinho who is perhaps its most famous son.
