CHAMPIONS – MANCHESTER CITY
Liverpool have done an incredible job to get back into contention for the Premier League, but their run-in is nightmarishly difficult compared to City’s. Pep will claim an eighth league title for the artists formerly known as the “noisy neighbours”.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – LIVERPOOL, CHELSEA, SPURS
Liverpool and Chelsea are too far ahead to be caught and will finish second and third. Spurs have finally broken their win-loss sequence and found some consistency under Conte. They will finish narrowly ahead of Arsenal for the sixth season in a row…provided the first 11 stay fit.

EUROPA LEAGUE – ARSENAL, MANCHESTER UNITED
The Gunners will, however, get some European football thanks to a fifth-placed finish. Manchester United have enough of a gap over West Ham and Wolves to pick up a comfortable sixth, which should be enough for the Europa League as long as Palace don’t win the FA Cup.

CONFERENCE LEAGUE – WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
West Ham are going to have their hands full over the next few weeks with two tough Europa League quarter-final matches against Lyon and then the possibility of Barcelona in the semis. Bruno Lage has done a great job steadying the ship at Wolves and they will claim seventh.

RELEGATED – NORWICH, EVERTON, WATFORD
The Canaries showed signs of life after Dean Smith took over, but six defeats in a row mean relegation. Everton have a tough fixture list and will exit the Premier League for the first time. They will be joined by Watford, as Sean Dyche pulls off a stunning escape for the Clarets.

PROMOTED – FULHAM, BOURNEMOUTH, MIDDLESBROUGH
Fulham are all but promoted, sitting 14 points clear of 3rd placed Luton Town. Bournemouth are 6 points clear with 2 games in hand. In the play-offs, Chris Wilder’s Middlesbrough will win through. They might even come up against his old Sheffield United side on the way.

FA CUP WINNERS – CHELSEA
Liverpool have a tendency to field a weaker side in the domestic cups, and that should let City claim the semi-final. Despite Crystal Palace’s excellent recent form, Chelsea should win theirs. Tuchel will do a tactical job on Guardiola in the final, as he did in Europe last year.

TOP SCORER – MOHAMED SALAH
No contest here with Salah 7 goals clear on 20…and 10 assists to boot. His main rival Harry Kane’s slow, disgruntled start to the season has made things considerably easier for the Egyptian, but you can only beat what’s put in front of you.

CHAMPIONS – REAL MADRID
They may have just got annihilated by Barcelona in El Clásico, but Real are still nine points clear of a stuttering Sevilla with nine to play. Will a league title be enough to keep Ancelotti in a job or will he have to do something special in the Champions League too?

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – BARCELONA, ATLÉTICO MADRID, SEVILLA
Barcelona have turned a corner under Xavi and 5 wins in a row with 18 goals scored is more what you expect of the Blaugrana. They will finish ahead of Atlético, who also have 5 wins in a row, but with fewer goals scored. Sevilla have run out of steam, but they will hold on to fourth.

EUROPA LEAGUE – REAL BETIS, REAL SOCIEDAD
Betis have had their best season in years and that form should be enough to keep them in fifth, despite the distraction of the Copa Del Rey final. Sociedad have been too inconsistent, but will get another European adventure, probably in the Europa League.

CONFERENCE LEAGUE – VILLARREAL
Another outstanding European effort from the Yellow Submarine, who have followed up on their Europa League triumph with a run to the Champions League quarter-finals. However, they seem destined for the Conference League next year unless they secure the European Cup.

RELEGATED – CÁDIZ, MALLORCA, LEVANTE
Levante have been cut adrift and eight points will be too much to make up. Mallorca are on a dreadful run of six defeats that has seen them slide into the drop zone. Cádiz sit just outside the bottom three, but they have a hard run-in and will be leapfrogged by an improving Alavés.

PROMOTED – ÉIBAR, ALMERÍA, GIRONA
Éibar’s fans said they were fine with relegation as long as they fought to come back up immediately and the Spanish Gunners have been true to their word. Almería are way out in front with them. Girona are hitting form just when it matters as the play-offs approach.

COPA DEL REY WINNERS – REAL BETIS
Valencia have improved of late, but Pellegrini is creating something special down in Betis that merits a trophy. Iglesias, Juanmi, Canales and Willian José offer a plethora of options in attack, without mentioning the legend that is Joaquín. He will come on to score the winner in the final.

TOP SCORER – KARIM BENZEMA
It’s been another great season for Benzema, who currently sits eight goals ahead of his nearest rivals in La Liga on 22 goals. His remarkable rapid fire hat-trick against PSG in the Champions League shows there are still plenty of goals left in the 34-year-old!

CHAMPIONS – AC MILAN
They nearly got there last season, but couldn’t quite match Antonio Conte’s Inter. This time the Rossoneri will finish ahead of their city rivals and claim their first scudetto for over a decade. The perennially underrated Olivier Giroud has been an inspired signing.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – NAPOLI, INTER MILAN, JUVENTUS
There’s a huge gap between these three sides and a faltering Atalanta in fifth. Bringing in Dusan Vlahovic has taken the Bianconeri to another level and they will finish second. Napoli will be just behind them in third, but Inter’s poor recent form will see them slip to fourth.

EUROPA LEAGUE – ATALANTA, LAZIO
It’s not been a good year for La Dea, who have stuttered in the league as the inevitable exodus of star names has continued. Lazio lost the battle against Roma in the derby at the weekend, but they will win the war thanks to an easier run-in.

CONFERENCE LEAGUE – ROMA
The Giallorossi are still involved in European competition and could well qualify for the Europa League anyway with victory in the inaugural Europa Conference League. The question remains whether Mourinho will be there for it? Will Roma want him to be?

RELEGATED – CAGLIARI, VENEZIA, SALERNITANA
Salernitana are as good as relegated on 16 points. Having to play away at all their direct relegation rivals will spell Cagliari’s demise. Venezia have looked good at times, but Genoa have improved and will overtake them in their annual Houdini act.

PROMOTED – CREMONESE, PISA, MONZA
It’s so, so tight at the top of Serie B, but Cremonese, Pisa and Monza are the current top three on points and on form. With six sides involved in the play-offs, none will want to be involved in that lottery. Recent Serie A sides Lecce, Brescia and Benevento will narrowly miss out.

COPPA ITALIA WINNERS – JUVENTUS
Rare is the season when the Old Lady finishes with nothing, and this will not be one of them. They hold the lead over Fiorentina going into their semi-final second leg and experience will count in the final against one of the Milan sides as they claim their fifteenth Coppa Italia.

TOP GOALSCORER – DUSAN VLAHOVIC
The race to be Italy’s capocannoniere has been neck and neck all season long between Dusan Vlahovic and Ciro Immobile, but the Serbian now has all of Juventus’ creative power to tee him up. That will be the difference, but Lazio’s all-time record goalscorer will run him mighty close.

Bundesliga Final Stretch Predictions

CHAMPIONS: BAYERN MUNICH
Well, obviously. The perennial favourites will make it a tenth consecutive Bundesliga title completing a decade of domination of the German top flight. They have a six point safety cushion with seven games to go, so the Meisterschale ought to be a formality.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: BORUSSIA DORTMUND, BAYER LEVERKUSEN, LEIPZIG
Borussia are miles clear in second and have no other distractions. Bayer are also out of all other competitions and will finish third. Leipzig must balance the race for fourth with Europa League commitments, but are in the best form of the three main contenders.

EUROPA LEAGUE: FREIBURG, KÖLN
There will be more European football next season for the boys from the Black Forest, who have gone from strength to strength under Christian Streich. They will be joined by the Billy Goats of Köln, who will go on a late surge on the back of Anthony Modeste’s sparkling run of form.

CONFERENCE LEAGUE: HOFFENHEIM
The late run by Köln will push Hoffenheim down to seventh, but that should be enough for a spot in the Conference League, provided Union or Hamburg don’t win the Pokal. The Kraichgau outfit’s inconsistency will see them miss out on the Europa League.

RELEGATED: GREUTHER FÜRTH, ARMINIA BIELEFELD
Fürth have looked doomed from day one, although they have been able to turn performances into points more frequently in the second half of the season. Arminia have lost four on the bounce and look unlikely to turn things around on current form.

PROMOTED: ST. PAULI, WERDER BREMEN
The Pirates have been out on top nearly all season and will love playing a division above city rivals Hamburg for the first time in Bundesliga history. Werder Bremen will take second to secure a rapid return to the top flight for one of Germany’s traditional big hitters.

RELEGATION PLAY-OFF: HERTHA BERLIN vs DARMSTADT
Hertha ended a terrible recent run of form with a surprise 3-0 win against Hoffenheim last time out, but it won’t be enough for them to escape a relegation play-off. Darmstadt have an easier run-in than Schalke or Nürnberg, so expect to see them challenging the capital side over two legs.

DFB POKAL WINNERS: FREIBURG
Remarkably, the only semi-finalist to have won the cup is the only 2. Bundesliga side left, Hamburg. Leipzig are favourites and will come through a semi-final with faltering Union. But Freiburg will defeat them in the final with Nils Petersen scoring his 100th goal for the club in a classic super-sub performance.

TOP SCORER: ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI
Who else? The Pole has once again been posting unreal numbers. He is also out on top of the Champions League goal-scoring charts. His 339 goals for Bayern put him 225 goals behind Gerd Müller. He would need about four of five seasons to get there at current pace. He couldn’t…could he?

CHAMPIONS – PSG
They were dreadful against Monaco, but a 12 point lead with nine matches to go is pretty much insurmountable. PSG will draw level with Saint Etienne on ten French titles. However, it will be mainly down to the inconsistency of the other 19 sides.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUERENNES
Taking advantage of Marseille and Nice’s patchy recent form, Rennes have surged onto the podium thanks to five wins on the bounce in which they’ve scored an average of 4 goals a game. With no cup or European distractions after their loss to Leicester, they will finish second.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFYING – LILLE
Another side that has just exited Europe to an English team, Lille have relied on defensive solidity rather than attacking flair in their gradual climb up the table. With a friendly set of fixtures ahead, Les Dogues will make the best of a disappointing title defence.

EUROPA LEAGUE – NICE
Nice have been second or third for nearly the entirety of the season, but are stumbling a little as they approach the finish line. A crunch match against Rennes is next. They will narrowly miss out on the podium, but a spot in the Europa League is far from a disaster.

CONFERENCE LEAGUE – MARSEILLE
What? Marseille so low? Well, they are still going in this year’s Conference League with a very winnable quarter-final tie against PAOK meaning four or five extra European matches could be on the horizon. Jorge Sampaoli will have to shuffle his deck very wisely.

RELEGATED – BORDEAUX, METZ
The writing is on the wall for Les Girondins, who were abject as they failed to mount a comeback in the second half against Montpellier’s nine men. They will be joined in Ligue 2 by Metz, who have looked destined for the drop much of the season.

PROMOTED – TOULOUSE, AUXERRE
Toulouse have been out in front all year and they will not be letting a seven point lead slip. Auxerre have just had a five game winning run snapped by Toulouse, but they will bounce back to take promotion in the automatic second spot.

RELEGATION PLAY-OFF – CLERMONT VS AJACCIO
Clermont have been desperately poor of late and a resurgent Saint-Etienne look certain to leapfrog them to safety. Ajaccio will battle it out with the newly wealthy Paris FC for third place in Ligue 2. A slightly kinder run-in should see the Corsicans come out on top.

COUPE DE FRANCE WINNERS – NANTES
Nice have been the better team over the course of the season, but Nantes have shown they have it in them to turn in an impressive performance, as they did in their recent victory over PSG. The Canaries will claim their fourth Coupe de France!

TOP SCORER – WISSAM BEN YEDDER
Kylian Mbappe is the best striker in this league, but his teammates are already half on holiday with the title nearly sewn up and nothing else to play for. Ben Yedder will reclaim his goalscoring crown, although Martin Terrier may run him close.
