1. Leeds United was created just after World War I, when financial irregularities brought down Leeds City.
2. Their golden era came in the ’60s and ’70s under Don Revie. During his tenure they won two league titles, an FA Cup and a League Cup. They lost the European Cup final to Bayern in 1975, just after he left.
3. Irresponsible spending by chairman Peter Ridsdale took Leeds to a Champions League semi-final in 2001. When their performances dropped off, however, money issues brought relegation in 2004.
4. Legendary manager Marcelo Bielsa took the reins in 2018, guiding the Whites back to the Premier League with his trademark brand of attacking football in 2020.
5. The White Rose of Yorkshire features on the club badge. Their main local rivals are the two Sheffield clubs, Bradford and Huddersfield, but they also have rivalries with Man U, Chelsea and Millwall.
