2. Their original name was the catchy “Fulham St Andrew’s Church Sunday School FC”.
3. They have never won a major trophy, but they did reach the FA Cup final in 1975 (signing George Best shortly after) and the Europa League final in 2010 (thrashing Juventus on the way).
4. Their more recent success began under Mohamed Al-Fayed, owner of Harrods and the Paris Ritz, who erected a statue of Michael Jackson outside the ground to the dismay of fans.
5. Club mascot Billy the Badger was once sent off for dancing on the pitch after the game had started.
