1. Racing Strasbourg began life as a German club, christened FC Neudorf after the area of the city it was based in.
2. During the Nazi occupation, Strasbourg bravely sported a uniform of blue tops, white shorts and red socks against an SS side. They even had the audacity to beat them 3-0.
3. Legendary goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert scored the winning penalty in their last Coupe De France victory in 2001.
4. After demotion to the fifth tier due to liquidation in 2011, the club fought back to claim a Coupe de la Ligue title in 2019.
5. Strasbourg contests the “Derby of the East” against Metz. Strasbourg represents Alsace, Metz Lorraine.
